Pianist Mika Sasaki, a sought-after recitalist, chamber musician, and educator based in New York City and cellist Mitchell Lyon, an accomplished chamber musician specializing in diverse ensemble collaborations.


Our Mission

Deeply rooted in the idyllic community of Ridgefield, CT, for over 23 years Fountain Music Concert Series (FMCS) has provided the community with high quality live music performances.

Organized exclusively for the purpose of enhancing the cultural life of Fairfield County, South Western Connecticut, and Westchester County, New York. The FMCS hosts approximately nine performances per year. Concerts feature a diverse range of professional musicians, and highlight volunteer based choirs from the surrounding communities.

Pianist Mika Sasaki is a sought-after recitalist, chamber musician, and educator based in New York City. Since her concerto debut with the Sinfonia of Cambridge (U.K.) at age seven, she appeared twice with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and more recently, with the 92Y Orchestra. She has performed at Weill Recital Hall, Steinway Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Peter J. Sharp Theater, Palazzo Chigi Saracini (Italy), Minatomirai Hall (Japan), Tokyo Bunka Kaikan (Japan), Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood, and live on WQXR and WFMT radio.

Cellist Mitchell Lyon approaches music making with a zeal for harnessing the unique power of musical experience. At home with audiences of all types, he has performed in venues ranging from Carnegie Hall to intimate private homes. 

An accomplished chamber musician, Mitch specializes in ensemble collaborations that run the gamut from classical piano trios, to crossover string quartets, to jazz combos, to dance and theater collaborations. His crossover trio project, Empire Wild, is currently recording their debut EP featuring original music and songs for cellos, voice and piano.
